WHY SEAPRO?
Greenaway Marine have been building professional underwater housings for still, motion picture and TV cameras for over 30 years. This mass of production knowledge has been passed into the production of our own range of compact video housings.

The SEAPRO housing system is adaptable in the long and short term, from the simple SP1 system up to the fully comprehensive SP8 system.

CONSTRUCTION
Aluminium tube body with optical grade perspex end plates.
All controls sealed by quad x 'o' rings, Sealed for long life.
Video light mounting bar with handles each side for easy control.
Depth rating - 100 metres. (Greater depth rating by quotation).

The main outer body is aircraft grade aluminium tube, not cast ali composite. Impact damage may dent or scratch the ends or side but the tube remains undamaged. The front port is recessed for protection, with the rear entry plate held in place by catches which exert 40lbs pull to compress the 'o' ring for failsafe operation for many years.

The optical grade front port allows the use of various wide angle and telephoto attachments on the SP3 type housing

SPECIAL OPTOLITE UNDERWATER CORRECTOR
The Optolite corrector used in the SP5/SP6 housings, we feel , is the finest underwater corrector available, its usability for underwater and surface use is unique.

The official magazine of the British Sub-Aqua Club.

 Manufacturers of housings from Japan, USA, Canada and Europe were surveyed for this very specialised product.  These housings are used by sports divers, research, TV and film companies and anyone who wishes to record the exciting underwater world.

 Greenaway Marine based in Swindon have been in the underwater photography and video business for the past 30 years. Only in the last 15 years have they been manufacturing their own product. 

 They found that the housings they were able to import from other countries for their customers were either too flimsy, the underwater lens performance was not up to the quality that they required or the products were subject to too many faults when used underwater. 

 Using a video camera underwater needs a very robust housing due to the tremendous pressure involved when a diver takes the camera down to up to 80 metres depth.  The housing is subject to many tons of pressure per square inch hence Greenaway Marine build their housings using aircraft grade aluminium tube with 25 mm thick Perspex ends.  This enables the diver to look into the camera whilst underwater. 

 The report stated the most impressive feature of the housings was the “Optolite Port”. This is an underwater optic specially designed by Stephen Greenaway which enables the video camera to give its maximum wide angle underwater and is unique so it can be used above or below the water without losing focus. 

 In fact it can be used half in and half out still with perfect results. 

 These Optolite Ports are manufactured for the SEAPRO Housing by Greenaway Marine in their works and made individually to fit the focal length of the video camera being used in the housing.  Because Greenaway can house virtually any video camera manufactured in the world, they are able to individually produce an underwater optic for individual cameras.
